Businesses and community organisations across the Omagh area are being encouraged to stay on top of food safety standards through a series of free training sessions and workshops taking place across Northern Ireland this May.
Delivered by safefood in partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and other councils, these sessions are designed to support businesses, volunteers and community groups in understanding their responsibilities and maintaining high food hygiene standards.
Why this matters for Omagh
For food businesses, cafés, community groups and event organisers across Omagh and the wider rural area, keeping food safety knowledge up to date is essential. Not only does it help protect customers, but it also strengthens your reputation, builds trust, and reduces the risk of costly compliance issues.
With many local organisations relying on volunteers or operating without in-house compliance expertise, these free sessions offer practical, accessible guidance that can make a real difference day to day.
