Go Succeed: Ultimate Pitch Returns – Your Chance to Win £6,000 for Your Business Idea

Entrepreneurs across the Fermanagh and Omagh District are being invited to step into the spotlight as Go Succeed: The Ultimate Pitch returns for its second year, offering a unique opportunity to win up to £6,000 in business investment.

This year’s competition launched fittingly at Seamus Heaney HomePlace, celebrating the spirit of storytelling – and now it’s your chance to tell the next chapter of your business journey.

What is The Ultimate Pitch?

Created by Go Succeed – the government-backed business support service – the competition is open to individuals, businesses, and social enterprises from all sectors and stages. Whether you’re starting out, growing, or pivoting your offering, this is your chance to shine.

The Fermanagh and Omagh local heat takes place on Wednesday 24th September, where shortlisted applicants will pitch their ideas to a panel of expert judges. The winner will go on to represent the district at the region-wide final during Global Entrepreneurship Week on 19th November, also held at Seamus Heaney HomePlace.

Last year, Matthew Rainey of Embark Protein won the local heat with his protein bar startup, earning a place at the regional final and invaluable experience pitching to industry leaders.

Prizes up for grabs include:

  • Go Succeed Ultimate Pitch Award – Overall winner

  • Go Succeed Impact Award – Best social enterprise

  • Go Succeed Inclusive Entrepreneurship Award

  • Go Succeed Rising Star Award – For 16–25-year-olds

  • People’s Choice Award – Voted by the public

All entrants will also gain access to Ultimate Pitch Masterclasses to help them prepare for the heats, build confidence, and fine-tune their pitch.

Councillor Shirley Hawkes, Vice Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, said:

“This competition is a fantastic way to inspire and elevate local talent. Whether you’re launching something new or scaling an existing business, we want to hear from you.”
