Meet Jamie-Lee Fagan, Founder of Urban Motion and OWND by Jamie Fagan, two businesses with one shared mission: creating opportunities, empowering people and making a difference.
About The Businesses
Urban Motion is a growing dance company on a mission to change the world one dance at a time! Through Hip Hop dance, we help young people across Ireland and the UK build confidence, express themselves and discover their potential. Our ultimate goal is to positively impact one million young people.
OWND by Jamie Fagan was born from my own experience of running Urban Motion. After building a custom operating system that automated 90% of our admin, I realised how powerful it could be for other businesses. Now, through OWND, I help dance schools and performing arts academies build and own their own bespoke systems, giving business owners their time, freedom and control back!
Q&A
Coffee or tea?
Coffee, without a doubt! When you’re running two businesses, a good coffee is needed. I actually bought a proper coffee machine last week to enjoy a home made latte each morning😂
One thing on your bucket list?
To start travelling again. I’ve spent the last 7 years building my businesses, now I’m going to start focusing on enjoying life a little more in-between! I’m starting with Thailand, I’m solo traveling across the country for 21 days over Christmas 🎉
Life at the Digi Hub
Why did you choose to base your businesses in the Digi Hub?
As someone who started their entrepreneurial journey at a young age, I’ve always believed that your environment plays a massive role in your growth. I wanted somewhere professional, creative and surrounded by other ambitious people. The Digi Hub provides exactly that, while allowing me to grow both businesses right here in Omagh.
What’s your favourite part of working here?
The people and the atmosphere! Running businesses can sometimes be quite isolating, so it’s brilliant to be surrounded by other entrepreneurs and professionals who are all working towards their own goals. There’s something really motivating about that.
Would you recommend it to another business?
Absolutely! Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your business to the next level, having a professional space and a supportive community around you makes a massive difference. It’s fantastic to have a facility like this available in Omagh.
