Can you describe your business?
Inside Beauty is a beauty room in Omagh that specialises in massage, facials, waxing, tinting, micro needling, peels and microdermabrasion. We are the only business in town to offer the Dermafrac treatment which combines Microdermabrasion with micro-needling and deep tissue infusion. Inside Beauty also use Epionce products which was voted the best anti-ageing skincare line in the US. The business is situated in Omagh town centre above House of Vixen.
Why did you start your own business?
To be honest I wanted to be my own boss. I managed the Light Salon in Harvey Nichols London for several years and also worked in Spas in Belgravia London and in New Zealand, I also want to bring my wealth of experience and skills to Omagh Town as I see a gap in the market for treatments that are popular in London that many have not heard of here. After being away for 18 years I want to move back home and start my own business. I was planning on moving home just as the Health, Beauty and Wellness rooms became available above House of Vixen and the timing was perfect.
What are the best things about running your own business?
Being able to be in control of working hours and working for myself. I also love seeing the results from treatments first hand and being able to recommend a product or treatment that can be life changing. Being able to choose what treatment and product ranges I believe in, one that works and am I am confident with.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
Trying to get my name out there, many people don’t know my business in Omagh or the experience I have in the industry. Another challenge is that it is very difficult is to engage new customers as I have been away so long and I am not originally from the area. Making people aware of my business is also a challenge.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
My advice is to just be patient as Rome wasn’t built in a day! I think that you should believe in yourself and stay positive and to most importantly work hard and keep strong!

The three words I would describe my business in would be Consistent, Friendly and Reliable.
