Can you describe your business?

Herbalife Nutrition is a global multi-level marketing corporation that develops, markets, and sells dietary supplements, weight management, sports nutrition, and personal-care products.

It is the Best nutritional company in 96 countries worldwide and 36 years of business.  It is a fun loving business which you can do anywhere!

Why did you start your own business?

I actually started out as a client of someone else in the same industry. I achieved amazing results and my friends all started asking what I had changed, I promoted my friends business, but she switched it around on me and instead convinced me to help people myself.

As it’s a multi-level marketing company, the people I was helping were earning from Herbalife too!  Also a single mother I struggled so the flexibility worked for me.

What are the best things about running your own business?

Herbalife seriously is the best business builder ever, you grow from 25% automatically off products to 50% and continue to grow in their business…

There is a way of attracting prospects to your business, so work on the pain points of your ideal team members – for example working mothers.  The best thing about my job is that it doesn’t really feel like a job, the time is totally flexible, I can work from my phone, at home and around my families requirements. As there are no required targets, I get to choose my own hours, which for a busy mum, is essential. In addition I am working with health and nutrition, my kids are seeing this and making better choices themselves, which is amazing.

What are the main challenges facing the business?

To be honest, there aren’t any major challenges as we all have to challenge our self to grow, like any business if you put in the work you’ll see it expand and grow.

I would say the main challenge is being the availability of poor quality foods and the re-education of people in what they should be eating. Nutrition advice has changed massively in the past few years and adjusting peoples mindset about food is the biggest and yet most rewarding aspect of my business

What advice would you give to someone starting a business?

Find something you love and go for it, find the real, emotional reason why you want to start a new business and then go for it. You can only regret the decisions you didn’t make.

Can you describe your experience of running a business in three words or less?
