Can you describe your business?
We are a coffee micro-roaster based in Omagh. We source, import, roast and deliver highquality speciality coffee beans. We provide wholesale supply to cafes, restaurants and hotels with our selected single origin and signature blends and online customers with fresh coffee.
Why did you start your own business?
As a coffee enthusiast I was keen to make speciality coffee more accessible to the local community. I wanted to offer choice and variety in fresh coffee using only the highest graded, ethically sourced (where possible Rainforest Alliance) coffee beans from around the world.
What are the best things about running your own business?
Being able to choose your own hours and having full control over where the business is heading.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
Initially it can be difficult getting a foot in the door with competition from long established players but building relationships and having a high quality product can overcome this.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Research your market thoroughly. Don’t underestimate the effort required.
