Innovation Voucher Call Opens 13 June

Is your business eligible for a £5,000 Innovation Voucher to improve or create new product, services or processes?

The Innovation Voucher call is open to small and medium sized businesses in Northern Ireland.

What is an Innovation Voucher?
An Innovation Voucher allows you to access skills and expertise from one of 39 registered knowledge providers – ie universities, colleges or technical institutes – throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

You can team up with them to avail of their specialist knowledge and expertise, and get help with a range of innovation projects including:

  • developing ideas for new and improved products, processes and services
  • testing and validation of new or enhanced products and services
  • using or experimenting with new materials
  • tapping into research and scientific expertise

Who can apply?
Applications are welcome from small business including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, and those medium-sized businesses that have not yet received assistance through Invest Northern Ireland’s research and development programme in the past five years.

What is excluded?
The aim of the programme is to deliver innovation. Some activities are specifically excluded from voucher support. For example:

  • buying equipment
  • standard training
  • general marketing
  • website optimisation
  • standard app development
  • business plans and economic appraisals
