Can you describe your business?
Premier Wealth Management (NI) is recognised today as being one of Northern Ireland’s leading and largest financial advice firms. We specialise in an extensive range of financial services including; investments and retirement planning, mortgages, family and business protection.
Why did you start your own business?
After working for large insurance companies I decided in 2005 the time was right to develop a business where my emphasis could be on developing an environment where advisers who wish to, could grow their business in a practice with integrity and the delivery of results to clients as a central aim.
What are the best things about running your own business?
Having the autonomy to surround myself with like minded people who pull together. Dealing with different issues and challenges every day, it’s a constant learning experience
What are the main challenges facing the business?
The constantly changing tax legislation and complexity of some areas of financial planning e.g. Pensions, means advisers must constantly update their knowledge and in many cases take further professional exams.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Have a clear goal of what you want to achieve, trust your instincts and do not forego your own integrity.
