Apprenticeships and Youth Training Seminars

These stakeholder engagement seminars will provide you with the opportunity to make your views known

The overall aim of Northern Ireland’s Apprenticeships and Youth Training Strategies is to establish a world class system of professional and technical education and training, to support the ambitions of young people and provide Northern Ireland with a skills base capable of driving growth and innovation.

A key aspect of the new system will be the establishment of a network of authorised  providers, eligible to deliver the off-the-job training elements of traineeships at level 2 (through both an employed and non-employed route) and apprenticeships at level 3, from September 2017.

Information seminars

The Department for Employment and Learning has been considering how to establish this provider network to meet the needs of employers and young people.

There will be three information seminars held to outline the Department’s initial thinking and receive feedback from relevant stakeholders.
