August Craft Month 2016 Event Call and Briefings

Do you want to take part in this year’s August Craft Month?

Each year, August Craft Month celebrates contemporary craft and the applied arts in Northern Ireland.

This month-long showcase of all things craft is traditionally packed full of exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, talks and other events. Craft NI are currently calling for submissions of listings for this year’s programme.

Listings call

The call is aimed at galleries, museums, local councils, craft organisations, arts centres, colleges, universities, heritage organisations and individual makers, who would like to:

  • consider programming events or activities during August Craft Month
  • support and promote themselves and/or their local designer-makers

To submit your event details, you should complete Craft NI’s event submission form no later than 16:00 on Friday 8 April 2016.

Briefing sessions

In preparation for August Craft Month 2016, Craft NI is giving you an opportunity to attend one of the three briefing sessions across Northern Ireland. Each will offer support and advice to those who would like to programme an event for the August celebration.

The workshops will take place at:

  • the Thatched Cottage in Derry on Tuesday 2 February 2016 at 11:00
  • the AmmA Centre in Armagh on Thursday 4 February 2016 at 11:00
  • the Craft NI offices in Belfast on Friday 5 February 2016 at 11:00
