Search for 2016 Apprentice of the Year Begins

The Apprentice of the Year Awards recognise those excelling in their apprenticeships and those investing in the skills of their workforce

Nominations are now open for the three award categories Apprentice of the Year Award, a new Higher Level Apprentice of the Year Award and Innovation in Partnership Award (for employers and training suppliers).

Apprenticeships is a work-based programme designed around the needs of employers. It offers recognised training and qualifications to new and existing employees aged 16 and over, across a wide range of apprenticeships. Funding is available.

Apprentices, employers and training partners are encouraged to enter the competition.

These awards are an opportunity to recognise those who are excelling in their apprenticeships and those who are investing in the skills of their workforce.

These much coveted awards are designed to recognise people involved in apprenticeship training in Northern Ireland, including employers, training suppliers and the apprentices themselves.

The closing date for application forms for both categories is noon, Friday 5 February 2016.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Titanic Suite, Belfast, on Wednesday 20 April 2016.
