Meet Northern Ireland’s First Award Winner
The first Do It For Real Award made by Omagh Enterprise Company was to Leanne Carrothers. Leanne used her award to launch B2gether, a cross-community youth scheme for young adults with learning disabilities needs.
‘Through my work I realised that there were limited opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities. I felt that these young people were the forgotten group and fell between education and care. Through the support from the UnLtd award I was able to start a club that meets the needs of this group’.
