SBRI Masterclasses in Belfast and Omagh

Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI) are holding two free Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) masterclasses this February in Belfast and Omagh.

What is SBRI?

SBRI is a process that enables government departments to connect with technology organisations and find innovative solutions for specific public sector challenges and needs.

Through competitions for new technologies and ideas, SBRI offers excellent opportunities for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to:

  • generate new business opportunities and find entry routes to market
  • develop and demonstrate innovative technologies to public bodies
  • win valuable contracts from government departments

SBRI masterclasses

If you are working on the development of an innovative process, material, device, product or service and are looking to engage with public sector, Invest NI’s masterclasses will help you understand:

  • how SBRI competitions work
  • how to increase your chances of being successful

Participants with receive an overview of the process and its current opportunities, as well as hints and tips on how not to apply for funding.

An SBRI evaluator and a ‘serial SBRI’ winner will be there to run a practical workshop and take you through a mock application exercise to maximise your chances of success.
