NI Tourism Awards 2014 Launched

Search is now on for top of the crop in local tourism and hospitality industry.

Tourism businesses of all sizes have been given an opportunity to compete for recognition and endorsement by entering the Northern Ireland Tourism Awards 2014.

The Awards, launched by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) in association with Diageo NI, play a significant role in recognising best practice in the local tourism industry and are regarded as one of the main highlights in the tourism calendar.

This year’s awards feature nine categories, including two brand new ones on ‘best use of social digital media’ and ‘innovation award’. Find out more about the wide ranging awards categories on the NI Tourism Awards website.

Howard Hastings, NITB Chairman, encourages all kinds of tourism businesses to get involved: “Winning could be as simple as telling us how you have evolved to take advantage of the new tourism environment or how you have gone that extra mile to set your business apart from the competition.”

Businesses have until 12.00 noon on Monday 24 February 2014 to submit their entries via the Awards website. You can find details regarding the entry process on the NI Tourism Awards website.

NITB will publish a shortlist of potential winners in the spring and the successful businesses and organisations will be revealed at a ceremony at the Ulster Hall event in Belfast on Thursday 29 May 2014.
