Doing Business in China

The University of Ulster will host a Business Breakfast entitled “Doing Business in China” on Wednesday 18 April in the Great Hall, Magee Campus starting with registration and breakfast at 8am and concluding at 10am.

Speakers at the event, which has been arranged to celebrate the Launch of the Confucius Institute at the University of Ulster (CIUU), will include

  • Homson Shaw, Associate Dean, International College of Zhejiang University of Media and Communications and Co-Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Ulster(CIUU);  
  • Professor Cathal Brugha from UCD, author of “Doing Business in China”; and
  • Philip Gilliland, Partner at Caldwell & Robinson and President of Londonderry Chamber of Commerce 2013, who has extensive commercial experience in the developing markets of China, South Asia and Eastern Europe.

The event, supported by the Office of Innovation’s Knowledge Club, will explore the opportunities for local companies in doing business with China and how they might avail of those opportunities. 

Presentations will begin at 8.30am and will be followed by a Question and Answer session.
