Funding to help food businesses grow

Small businesses in the food sector are urged to apply for Innovation Vouchers

In addition to their September call for Innovation Vouchers applications, Invest Northern Ireland have recently launched a special call specifically targeting small food sector businesses.

Applications for this special call will be accepted from all small enterprises in the food sector, including sole trades, partnerships and ltd companies.

Innovation Vouchers are worth up to £4,000 and can be redeemed against the cost of accessing specialist knowledge in one of the universities, colleges or publicly funded research institutions in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The objective of the Innovation Voucher programme is to facilitate links between public knowledge providers and small businesses, with a view to generate innovative business solutions.

Individual companies or clusters of up to ten small businesses can apply for a voucher by outlining their business issue and the expert help needed to address it.

The deadline for application is 9 October 2011. You can find further details on eligibility criteria and apply for the Innovation Voucher on the Innovation Vouchers website.
