Funding Available for Cultural and Heritage Events in Omagh

Community groups, organisations and heritage projects in the Omagh area can now apply for funding to support events celebrating local culture, history and heritage this September.

Grants of up to £300 are available to help deliver activities as part of two popular annual programmes:

The funding is designed to encourage organisations to showcase local heritage, culture, traditions, stories and places while engaging residents and visitors alike.

To be eligible, events must:

  • Be free to attend
  • Be open to the public
  • Take place within the Omagh area
  • Be delivered during the official programme dates

This funding provides an excellent opportunity for community organisations, heritage groups, cultural organisations and local venues to highlight what makes the area unique while attracting new audiences and strengthening community participation.

Applications for both programmes close at 5pm on Thursday 2 July 2026.
