About This Episode

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi, founder of the Medical Acupuncture & Allergy Elimination Clinic, speaks with Nick O’Shiel about why he set up his own clinic alongside his hospital work. Frustrated by the limitations of conventional treatments, Narendra turned to alternative techniques to help patients find long-term relief from allergies and chronic conditions.

In the episode, Narendra discusses the freedom of running his own practice, the satisfaction of seeing results where traditional medicine falls short, and how acupuncture has transformed the lives of patients with symptoms unresolved by mainstream care.

He also highlights the challenge of raising awareness about alternative medicine and encourages future entrepreneurs to embrace holistic knowledge systems that have existed for centuries. His advice? Start small, stay curious, and aim to make a difference.

Nick O’Shiel:
Hello and welcome to the 60 Second Challenge with Omagh Enterprise Company. I’m Nick O’Shiel, and I’m with Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi. You’re very welcome.

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi:
Thank you. Thank you very much for having me.

Nick O’Shiel:
As you know, I’ll ask you six questions, and you’ll try to answer them in 60 seconds. Ready? Let’s go. First up: can you describe your business?

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi:
This is a clinic I run alongside my hospital work. I focus on allergy elimination and acupuncture. There’s no definitive treatment for allergies in English medicine, so I use alternative methods to help the body heal itself.

Nick O’Shiel:
And why did you start this business?

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi:
In hospital, I often saw patients who couldn’t get better — we were only maintaining symptoms. I found that alternative approaches actually worked for them. That motivated me to start something where I could truly help people heal.

Nick O’Shiel:
What are the best things about doing this yourself?

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi:
The freedom. Hospital settings have many constraints. In my clinic, I can work in new ways and see patients improve. That’s incredibly satisfying.

Nick O’Shiel:
What challenges do you see ahead?

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi:
Creating more awareness. People don’t always know that non-invasive, drug-free treatments are available. We need to educate them about what’s possible.

Nick O’Shiel:
What advice would you give someone starting a business?

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi:
Go for it. Western medicine is only a few hundred years old — but other traditions go back thousands. There’s so much valuable knowledge we can apply today.

Nick O’Shiel:
And finally, in three words or less, how would you describe your experience?

Narendra Babu Koyyalamudi:
Exciting. Amazing. Mind-boggling!

Nick O’Shiel:
Perfect. We’ll stop the clock there — exactly three minutes. Congratulations, and well done!
