Local businesses and start-ups can showcase their circular economy innovation
Businesses and late-stage start-ups in Omagh and the wider Fermanagh and Tyrone area are being encouraged to apply for the All-Island Circular Venture Awards 2026.
The awards, organised by CIRCULÉIRE, are designed to recognise innovative businesses developing new ways to reduce waste, reuse materials and products, extend product lifecycles and create more sustainable business models.
For local businesses working in manufacturing, engineering, technology, product development, recycling, sustainability or related sectors, the awards provide an opportunity to gain wider recognition, meet investors and build connections across the island of Ireland.
What are the Circular Venture Awards?
The awards celebrate late-stage start-ups and ventures that are helping to develop a more circular economy.
This includes businesses finding practical and commercial ways to:
- reuse or repurpose materials
- repair and extend the life of products
- remanufacture components
- reduce waste within manufacturing and supply chains
- develop new recycling or regeneration solutions
- create products and services that make better use of resources
These types of innovations can be particularly relevant to businesses in the Omagh area looking to improve efficiency, reduce material costs, develop new markets or make their operations more sustainable.
A platform for local innovation
Omagh has a strong base of small businesses, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and growing enterprises.
The All-Island Circular Venture Awards offer local companies an opportunity to showcase that innovation on a much wider stage.
Shortlisted businesses will be invited to pitch at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin as part of the EPA Annual Circular Economy Conference, in front of investors, industry leaders, policymakers and media representatives.

Businesses selected for the awards will have the opportunity to:

- network with businesses, investors and government representatives from across the island of Ireland
- connect with members of the CIRCULÉIRE circular economy network
- pitch directly to potential investors and commercial partners
- receive promotional support from Irish Manufacturing Research’s Circular Economy Innovation Unit

€10,000 prize fund
Finalists will compete for a total prize fund of €10,000.
They will also receive one-to-one coaching from international experts in entrepreneurship and the circular economy, helping businesses strengthen their ideas and explore opportunities for future growth.
Could your Omagh business apply?
Local businesses do not necessarily need to see themselves as an environmental or sustainability company to be involved in the circular economy.
A manufacturer reducing material waste, a business extending the life of products, a company developing reusable alternatives or a start-up finding a new commercial use for materials that would otherwise be discarded could all be contributing to circular innovation.
Omagh businesses developing innovative products, services or business models in this area are therefore encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and consider applying.
