Community and voluntary organisations across the Omagh area are being encouraged to apply for funding through the Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme (RMCGS) 2026/27.
The scheme, funded by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), offers grants of between £500 and £2,500 to support rural community groups, voluntary organisations and Social Economy Enterprises.
Funding is available for projects that help address locally identified issues such as poverty, social isolation and community wellbeing, while also improving facilities and services for local residents.
What can the funding be used for?
Eligible projects may include:
- Modernisation of community buildings or equipment
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT) improvements
- Health and wellbeing initiatives
- Energy efficiency and environmental improvement projects
The funding could help organisations invest in equipment, upgrade facilities, improve digital capabilities or develop projects that strengthen community connections and support local people.
