Opportunity for Omagh and West Tyrone Businesses to Gain National Recognition
Businesses across Omagh, West Tyrone and the wider North West are being encouraged to consider applying for the King’s Awards for Enterprise 2027, the UK’s highest official recognition for business achievement.
The awards celebrate organisations that are making a significant impact through innovation, international growth, sustainability and social responsibility. Winning businesses receive national recognition, enhanced credibility and valuable promotional opportunities.
Award Categories
Applications are now open across five categories:
- International Trade
- Innovation
- Sustainable Development
- Promoting Opportunity Through Social Mobility
- Young Founder
Businesses can apply for more than one category, and there is no fee to enter.
Who Can Apply?
Organisations of all sizes and sectors can apply, including private businesses, non-profit organisations and public sector bodies.
To be eligible, organisations must:
- Be based in the UK, including Northern Ireland
- Have a strong compliance record with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)
- Operate as a self-contained organisation with its own management and accounts
- Employ at least two full-time equivalent staff members in the UK
- Demonstrate good environmental, social and governance practices
Each award category also has its own specific eligibility requirements.
