Food producers, farmers, hospitality businesses and digital creators across the Omagh area are being encouraged to enter or nominate others for the BBC Food and Farming Awards 2026.
The prestigious awards celebrate the people, businesses and organisations making a positive impact across the UK’s food and farming sectors. This year’s awards ceremony will take place at Titanic Belfast in October 2026, with support from Food NI and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA).
The awards provide an opportunity to recognise outstanding achievements in food production, farming, innovation and community engagement. Whether you are a local producer, a food entrepreneur or know someone making a difference in the industry, nominations are now being welcomed.
Award Categories
Categories open for nomination include:
- The Food Programme Best Food Producer
- Best Drinks Producer
- Digital Creator Award
- Farming for the Future with The Archers and BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today
- Food Innovation Award
- Countryfile Young Countryside Champion
- BBC Radio Ulster Food Hero Award
The Derek Cooper Outstanding Achievement Award will be selected by the judging panel and is not open for public nominations.
Submitting a Nomination
Before submitting a nomination, entrants should carefully review the criteria for their chosen category and clearly demonstrate how the nominee meets or exceeds the requirements.
For Omagh-based food businesses, producers and farming enterprises, the awards offer valuable recognition and an opportunity to showcase the innovation and quality that exists within the local food sector.
The deadline for nominations is 12 noon on Monday 15 June 2026.
