Funding & Mentoring for Omagh Music Groups and Emerging Composers in 2026

Three young women play acoustic guitars and sing into microphones on stage during a live music event, with banners promoting Omagh Enterprise and music funding programs.

Making Music is inviting emerging composers and community music groups to take part in its Adopt a Music Creator 2026 scheme, offering a brilliant opportunity for Omagh-based creatives to collaborate and produce new music together.

The programme pairs leisure-time music groups with composers in the first seven years of their professional careers to co-create an original piece during 2026.

What’s included

  • Up to 15 groups receive £1,000 towards commissioning costs

  • Support and guidance from Making Music and professional mentors

  • Groups choose their preferred composer or select from a national pool

For composers

You can apply if you are:

  • within your first seven years as a professional composer

  • interested in working collaboratively with a community or leisure-time group

  • able to develop a new piece of music during 2026

This is a strong opportunity for Omagh choirs, bands and arts groups to commission fresh work while supporting emerging talent.

Deadline for expressions of interest is Friday 13 March 2026.
