AI Workshops to Help Omagh Businesses Get Started With Artificial Intelligence

A diverse group of people sit around a table with a glowing, blue holographic robot labeled AI in the center. A banner reads: AI Workshops to Help Omagh Businesses Get Started With Artificial Intelligence. Omagh Enterprise.

Small and medium-sized businesses across Northern Ireland, including those based in Omagh, are being offered practical support to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used in day-to-day operations.

The Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre (AICC) has announced new 2026 dates for its AI Acceleration Tour, a free series of beginner-friendly workshops designed to help businesses understand and adopt AI in a realistic and responsible way.

These sessions are aimed at business owners, managers and professionals who are curious about AI but unsure where to start. No technical background is required, and the workshops are specifically designed for those at an early stage of AI adoption rather than advanced users or data scientists.

What the workshops cover

Each workshop combines short presentations, live demonstrations and group discussion, with a strong focus on practical business use. Topics include:

  • understanding the basics of data and AI

  • preparing business data for AI tools

  • responsible and ethical use of AI

  • infrastructure and implementation options for SMEs

  • how AI can support productivity and decision-making

For Omagh-based businesses, these workshops provide a valuable opportunity to explore how AI could support administration, marketing, customer service, forecasting and internal processes without the need for major upfront investment.

Upcoming workshop dates

Businesses can attend the session most convenient to them, with upcoming locations including:

  • 5 February 2026, Walsh’s Hotel, Maghera

  • 17 February 2026, Canal Court Hotel and Spa, Newry

  • 19 February 2026, LEDCOM Conferencing Centre, Larne

  • 12 March 2026, Ecos Hub, Ballymena

  • 24 March 2026, Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahinch

Why this matters for Omagh businesses

As AI tools become more accessible, understanding how to use them safely and effectively is increasingly important for local businesses of all sizes. These workshops offer Omagh enterprises a low-risk and practical way to explore AI adoption, ask questions and learn alongside other SMEs facing similar challenges.

Omagh Enterprise encourages local businesses interested in improving productivity, efficiency and digital capability to consider attending one of these free sessions.
