The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has launched the 2025/26 Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme (RMCGS), supporting rural community groups, voluntary organisations, and Social Economy Enterprises.
Grants of £500–£2,000 are available for projects addressing poverty and social isolation in rural areas.
Eligible projects can include:

Upgrading or modernising buildings or equipment

Investing in ICT and digital tools

Promoting health and wellbeing

Improving energy efficiency or delivering environmental benefits
