Small businesses in Omagh and across Northern Ireland working in sensitive or high-risk sectors now have the chance to boost their online security — completely free of charge.
The NI Cyber Essentials Funded Programme, part of the UK-wide National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) initiative, is offering free cyber security support to help small and micro-organisations protect themselves from common cyber threats.
This practical support will help you put key security measures in place and prepare your business for Cyber Essentials certification — a recognised standard that can give your customers and partners greater confidence in your security.
Only three spaces remain in the current round, and they’ll be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who can apply?
Your organisation must:
- 
Be registered in the UK and based in Northern Ireland 
- 
Be a micro or small business or charity with 1 to 49 employees 
- 
Fall into one of the following categories: - 
Operates in the defence sector 
- 
Works on developing key technologies such as: - 
Artificial intelligence 
- 
Semiconductors or semiconductor IP blocks 
- 
Quantum technologies 
- 
Engineering biology 
 
- 
- 
Provides legal aid services 
- 
Offers conveyancing services 
- 
Is a charity that processes personal data (as defined under GDPR) 
 
- 
Other conditions:
- 
You have not previously taken part in the NI/NCSC Funded Cyber Essentials Programme 
- 
You do not currently hold Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+) certification 
- 
You have not received CE+ certification since January 2023 
- 
You are not currently applying for CE+ certification
