The Alan Turing Institute will host a free online workshop, AI Challenges and Consequences, on Thursday 23 October 2025, from 1pm to 4pm.
As part of the Innovate UK BridgeAI programme, this event is aimed at SME leaders and professionals in places like Omagh and across Northern Ireland who are exploring, or already using, AI tools in their business. No technical background is needed, making it accessible to all sectors.
The workshop will:
-
Highlight the challenges of adopting AI responsibly, including fairness, transparency, explainability, and privacy
-
Use practical examples and a generative AI case study to show how risks can be identified and reduced
-
Share collaborative tools and frameworks that businesses can apply straight away
-
Provide opportunities to connect with peers across different sectors and regions to exchange experiences
For businesses in Omagh, this is a valuable chance to learn how to adopt AI in a way that supports growth while protecting customers, communities, and society.
By the end of the session, participants will understand the principles of responsible AI, know how to spot risks, and be equipped with tools to use AI responsibly in their own organisation.
