Businesses in the agri-food sector across Northern Ireland – including here in Omagh – now have an exciting opportunity to harness the power of artificial intelligence through a new accelerator programme backed by Innovate UK.

The BridgeAI: AgriFood Accelerator, delivered by Digital Catapult, aims to help agri-food companies integrate AI technologies to improve productivity, sustainability, and decision-making.

What’s on offer?
This free programme will support up to 30 businesses, offering expert guidance, tailored mentorship, technical support, and access to top-tier computing infrastructure. It is designed specifically for UK-based small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are:

  • Using or planning to use AI to enhance their agri-food operations

  • Focused on solving sector challenges like yield prediction, animal health monitoring, supply chain traceability, or sustainable production

Why it matters to Omagh
Omagh and the wider Fermanagh and Tyrone region have a rich agri-food tradition. This accelerator presents a valuable chance for local businesses to modernise operations and compete globally using cutting-edge technologies.
