A new cross-border initiative, AgriFood Connect, has been launched to drive innovation and collaboration in the local agri-food sector
Supported by InterTradeIreland’s Synergy Programme, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between research and practical solutions for small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs), farmers, and food manufacturers across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The project is led by:
- Munster Technological University AgriTech Ireland Cluster
- Queen’s University Belfast AgriFood Quest Competence Centre
It seeks to address challenges like resource limitations and tech adoption in agriculture by fostering partnerships between SMEs and research institutions.
The initiative is designed to accelerate innovation through collaborative networks, creating opportunities for growth and sustainability in the sector.
Businesses and industry stakeholders are encouraged to get involved and express their interest
