Sustainable Tourism Networks in Fermanagh and Omagh

Tourism businesses invited to participate in the new programme

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has launched a new programme Building Towards Sustainable Tourism Networks and is now seeking expressions of interest from businesses operating in the tourism sector across the district to participate.

The benefits of networking and clustering include opportunities for collaboration, learning, idea sharing, peer support and destination development.

The funded programme offers cluster members:

  • facilitated cluster meetings
  • practical information webinars including energy & water consumption, accessibility & inclusivity and collaborative marketing
  • leave No Trace training
  • one-to-one mentoring
  • recycling, energy and water audits
  • a learning journey

The programme will seek to build sustainable tourism clusters around core visitor hubs:

  • Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark
  • Enniskillen Town
  • The Omagh Sperrins (Omagh Town, South Sperrins and Gortin Glens)
  • Castle Archdale (Castle Archdale, Irvinestown and Belleek)
  • Lisnaskea (Lisnaskea and Sliabh Beagh area)

Submissions close at 12 noon on Monday 27 November.
