Business Profile: Dr Gabriela Clinic

Can you describe your business?

I provide a wide range of non surgical aesthetic and cosmetic treatments to patients in my Omagh and London clinics. I offer PDO beauty lift threads, seven step facial, hair regrowth, botox, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation, skin peels, non surgical nose reshaping etc. My patients come to me with an idea of how they want to enhance their appearance or change something they are not happy with. It is my job to give them what they want, helping to improve their self esteem and happiness. To sum it up I would describe my business as making people happy!

Why did you start your own business?

I followed my dream career in cardiology and internal medicine in Poland. My career then took me to Northern Ireland, where I worked in cardiology and palliative care. During my time here I became interested in aesthetic medicine and the hugely positive effect it can have on a person’s self-esteem. This is what give me the passion to develop my skills. I realised I had a huge passion for facial anatomy and used my experience and science to undergo a range of different aesthetic courses. I then started to research different aesthetic products/treatments such as PDO Beauty Lift Threads and Nanopeptide Mesotherapy and was the first to introduce them to the UK.

What are the best things about running your own business?

I believe I change people’s lives is the best thing about running my own business. I have the freedom to make my own dreams become reality and I vision how I want my business to progress in the future and I can plan to make this happen. Also looking back at how far I have come, it’s a proud feeling and makes it all worthwhile. Another would be the strong team of employees that I have, we work well together and have the same goals – to make our patients happy!

What are the main challenges facing the business?

Remaining competitive is the main challenge of the business. I must ensure I constantly introduce new treatments to keep my patients interested and happy. Engaging with my staff to ensure the smooth running of the business can sometimes be a challenge, however with patience and perseverance we overcome a lot of obstacles.

What advice would you give to someone starting a business?

Passion and drive are the two most important elements of starting your own business. You have to love what you do and want to continue to not only better yourself but your business too. Continue to research new things, and find ways of expanding your skills to give your customers/clients more. If you have the passion and drive then I would say don’t hesitate – just go for it!

Can you describe your experience of running a business in three words or less?

Challenging, rewarding, exciting!
