Invent 2014 – Discovering Northern Ireland’s Newest Inventions

INVENT 2014

For over 400 years, Northern Ireland innovation has been changing the world: the tractor, mobile defibrillators, whiskey distilling, even chocolate. Which are the inventions from today that will be remembered 100 years from now? We need your help to find those new ideas.

NISP CONNECT has launched its biggest and brightest opportunity for Northern Ireland innovators – INVENT 2014. We are inviting inventors to apply for a competition to find Northern Ireland’s inventions with the greatest commercial potential in the following categories:

  • Enterprise Software
  • Agri-Food
  • Creative Media and Consumer Internet
  • Life & Health
  • Electronics
  • Engineering

INVENT 2014 is an opportunity for anyone in Northern Ireland who has an innovative idea, from farmyard inventors, to engineers, to dynamic research scientists and our high tech youth with new gaming or app ideas. It’s open to any individual or small company with a breakthrough invention or prototype. Applications are open now at www.invent2014.co and the closing date is 4 April 2014.

We would like your help in making sure this opportunity reaches as many people as possible.

There’s a share of the £33,000 prize fund available, along with a six month programme of expert mentoring to get the most promising ideas ready to do business.
