Shredding Company Books Spot On Awards Shortlist

Shredbank, the document shredding company, scooped one of the coveted national champion titles to stakes its claim in the Europe-wide contest which will declare a winner next April.

The local company faced the collective entrepreneurial might of over 17,000 companies in 28 countries to find its place among the contenders for Ruban d’Honneur status – or finalist – before the final stage next spring.

Competitors are judged on three core principles, including innovation, business excellence and sustainability, which judges have been assessing in their selection of those going through to the next round.

Philip Bain, co-founder of ShredBank, said the awards were “widely recognised as the showcase for Europe’s most dynamic companies. We’re looking forward to the next round of the competition”.

Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM accounting firms, said Shred Bank and the other National Champions have “yet again raised the bar for dynamic, inspiring and quality businesses across Europe”.

Last year’s competition saw entries from organisations with a combined turnover greater of over €1trillion across the 28 EU countries plus emerging nations of Turkey, Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

Together these businesses employ over 2.7 million people across the continent.
