Omagh Enterprise Company Gets Ready For Brussels Event

Omagh Enterprise Company is the leading organisation in the Erasmus+ Smart Data Smart Region project which includes European partners from the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Leitrim and Northern Ireland.

The partners have been working together to deliver the two year project which will improve the ability of Vocational Education  Training practitioners to engage with and effectively teach smart data strategies to new generations of entrepreneurs and women and businessmen.

This will enable them to use their new knowledge to increase the effectiveness of the education systems they work in.

The company is preparing for the project’s final event on June 26 in Brussels which will be hosted by Martina Anderson, MEP.

Speaking on behalf of the Omagh Enterprise Company, Mary MacRory said, “Expertise in the use of smart data is still emerging and by joining forces with European partners we have been able to leverage a much greater understanding of the benefits of using smart data to promote enterprise and education than we could achieve on our own.

“We are delighted to deliver this project with a number of experienced organisations throughout Europe. We are looking forward to the final event on June 26, to launch the projects educational resources that will help teachers and trainers gain the skills needed to teach smart data effectively. It will also raise awareness amongst stakeholders of how the use of smart data can improve decision making for an organisation, by using data to plan ahead.”
