12 New Jobs Announced at McGrath Engineering
Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Jonathan Bell has announced the creation of 12 jobs at McGrath Engineering’s Coalisland factory.
The company, a family business that trades as Ezystak Conveyors, designs and manufactures mobile and static conveyors, exporting them all over the world.
Jonathan Bell said: “McGrath Engineering has grown rapidly since it was started just nine years ago with support from Invest Northern Ireland. This new factory and further expansion marks the next step in its journey, which has already seen it achieve export success worldwide.
“McGrath Engineering’s innovation and export focus has contributed to building a strong company that is part of Northern Ireland’s vibrant materials handling sector and which has caught the attention of the world.
“With the increased capacity now available, the company is ideally placed to take advantage of recent opportunities that have arisen for it to do business with global giants in the sector and significantly increase its turnover.
“Most of the new jobs will pay salaries that are above the private sector average and altogether will contribute over £250,000 to the economy as well as providing welcome employment opportunities for the County Tyrone area.”
Invest Northern Ireland has offered £90,000 towards the company’s total Investment of over £600,000 in the factory and additional staff. The company has also benefited from R&D support to design and build its trommel range and compact tracked vibrating screener.
Seamus McGrath, Managing Director of McGrath Engineering, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Minister to our factory today and have the opportunity to speak to him about our growth plans. Our strategy has been to pursue growth through developing new products for the quarrying and mining sectors and increasing our geographical reach.
“Invest NI has been an invaluable source of support to us over the years. Some of our key products, including a recently developed compact tracked vibrating screener, were developed with research and development support from Invest NI. Without the agency’s assistance we would not have been in a position to fit out the factory in time to exploit the opportunities that we’ve identified in recent months and create these new jobs.”
Invest NI’s research and development assistance is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
