Leitrim County Enterprise Board, as Lead Beneficiary, has been successful in securing EU INTERREG IVA funding for the Harnessing Creativity Project.

The Harnessing Creativity Project which is funded under INTERREG IVA is a cross border initiative, to encourage new thinking across the creative and broader business sectors, and facilitate the effective harnessing of creativity for economic vibrancy in the region. The partners on the project are Leitrim County Council, Leitrim County Enterprise Board, Leitrim Design House, Tyrone Donegal Partnership, Fermanagh District Council, Omagh Enterprise Company Limited and ICBAN.

Leitrim County Enterprise Board invites applications for the position of:

Administrator/Project Assistant

  •  The Administrator will provide administrative assistance to the Project Officer on all aspects of project delivery
  • Be responsible for meeting deadlines for reporting requirements and financial returns as well as maintaining overall programme budget

The post will be awarded on a fixed term contract until 31st May 2015, including a probationary period of six months.

Salary will be €23,188 per annum.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR HARNESSING CREATIVITY PROJECT

Job Title:                    Administrator/Project Assistant

Location:                    Leitrim County Enterprise Board, Business Park

Dublin Road, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim

Salary:                        €23,188 per annum

Hours:                        35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm

Reporting to:             Harnessing Creativity Project Officer, Management Committee of Harnessing Creativity Programme, Chief Executive, Leitrim County Enterprise Board

Role:

To provide administrative and marketing support to the Project Co-Ordinator of the Harnessing Creativity Project.

Summary of main duties

  • Provide general administrative and marketing support
  • Process purchase invoices and maintain accurate and up to date project finance records.
  • Maintain project files and archives
  • Administration of the project throughout the planning, implementation and dissemination
  • Assist in developing and producing programme and promotional materials.
  • Prepare subcontracts for trainers and mentors employed through the project.
  • Make project-related travel, accommodation and logistical arrangements, working with
  • trainers, appropriate agents and external parties
  • Assist with organising programme events as necessary.

Ad-hoc Support

  • Answer telephone and refer enquiries appropriately.
  • Deal with email enquiries.
  • Process incoming and outgoing post as necessary.
  • Other duties as requested.

Competencies and qualities

  • At least two years working in a small business
  • Excellent administrative skills, with experience of working in a busy office.
  • Excellent IT skills including high level of competence with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel in particular).
  • Good organisational skills and the initiative to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Flexibility to cope with several jobs simultaneously and to agreed deadlines.
  • High level of numeracy and familiarity with basic financial documents
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
